TRUMP: Is he sane?

Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 9 years, 2 months AGO

I know that there are many opinions about Donald Trump’s effectiveness as president. So, here is my take after one month. This is what I have noticed from listening to the words from Donald Trump’s mouth and reading his Twitter comments. Donald Trump practices:

• Extreme fearmongerering (Muslim, Mexican, health care, inner cities, economy, etc.)

• Extreme attacks on the news media (insults, name-calling, enemy of the people, etc.)

• Extreme attacks on the courts and judges

• Extreme self-aggrandizement

• Extreme denialism (All negative criticism is “fake” “wrong” “a lie” or “from losers and enemies”)

• Extreme delusions about his popularity

• Extreme delusions about his first month in office (“well-oiled machine”)

• Blameshifting for any problem (small or large)

• Taking credit for anything good (deservedly, or not)

• Extreme espousing of falsehoods (repeatedly, knowingly and unknowingly)

I get that Donald Trump is an extremist, and realize that many people support him for just this reason. I continue, though, to be very concerned about his general fitness to lead our country in a sane manner.
