Charter sweeps North Idaho math competition

Coeur d’Alene Charter Academy swept the North Idaho Chapter of Math Counts competition Tuesday hosted by Idaho Society of Professional Engineers and North Idaho College.

The top two schools and top seven individuals of Tuesday’s competition will move on to the state competition in Boise on March 11.

1 – Coeur d’Alene Charter Academy (Maria Aguiar, Matthew Barrett, George Pierowski, and Lilian Smith, coach: Virginia Hammond)

2 – River City Middle School (Jacob Ditto, Charlie Nowlan, Samantha Snow, Kanyon Zirker, coach: Ann Cunningham)

2 – Srikar Surapaneni (North Idaho STEM Charter School)

3 – Lilian Smith (Coeur d’Alene Charter Academy)

6 – Kanyon Zirker (River City Middle School)

7 – George Pierowski (Coeur d’Alene Charter Academy)
