QUINCY — A woman and two children were hospitalized after a two-vehicle collision near Quincy over the weekend.

About 4:25 p.m. on Sunday Jazmin Magana, 30, of Marysville, was stopped on the eastbound shoulder of state Route 28, about 1.5 miles east of Quincy, in a 2002 Volkswagen Golf and reportedly attempted to re-enter the road. As she attempted to get back onto SR-28, Magana’s vehicle was reportedly struck by a 2010 Chrysler Town and Country driven by Sara Hausken, 36, of Ephrata, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Magana and her passengers, a 9-year-old girl and 8-year-old boy, were taken to Quincy Valley Medical Center as a precaution. Neither Hausken or her passenger, a 9 year-old girl, were injured in the collision. Both of the vehicles involved in the collision sustained reportable damages.

The patrol reports Magana was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
