Lois A. Zima

Lois A. Zima, 85, died on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017 at Libby Care Center. She was born on Jan. 25, 1931 at Glen Ellen, Ill. to William and Marguerite (Katz) Shawl. They moved to Montana in 1937.

Lois married Warren Plath in April of 1948. She worked at the Lincoln County Courthouse, The Tog Shop and C&H Market. Warren died in 1962. She married Bill Zima in 1967. They moved to Minnesota in 1969. Bill died in 1990. Lois moved back to Libby in 1992 and got her GED and graduated in 1995. She worked at Mac’s Market and St. John’s Lutheran Hospital. She also volunteered at the hospital in medical records. Her love of cats, all animals and all her grandchildren, everyone she worked with at the hospital and all the special friendships she acquired at the care center kept her young and active.

Survivors include her daughter Christine Jones, (John); grandkids Jody, Tracy (Ron), Brock (Jeralyn); seven great grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017 at the Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby. Memorials may be made to Kootenai Pets for Life. Online condolences and memorials may be made to www.schnackenbergfh.com.
