Welch Comer promotes

Dorsey and Osterdock

Welch Comer Engineers Coeur d’Alene has promoted two members of its staff of engineers.

Adam Dorsey, P.E., was promoted to senior design engineer. Since beginning his career with Welch Comer in 2007, Dorsey has focused on transportation engineering and developed expertise in roadway geometric design, signal design, federal aid funding and stormwater design. His expertise has expanded Welch Comer’s transportation engineering market and his notable roadway designs include Hawthorne Avenue, Colville, Wash.; Spokane Street, Post Falls; Argonne Road, Millwood, Wash.; and Seltice Way, Coeur d’Alene, which will be constructed in 2017 and feature a pair of two-lane roundabouts. Dorsey earned his civil engineering degree from Washington State University.

Karen Osterdock, P.E., was promoted to project manager. Osterdock started her career with Welch Comer in 2008 and her area of expertise includes water system master planning, water distribution systems and pump stations, and state and federal funding programs. Her engineering, project and client management skills employed on the multi-year projects for East Shoshone County Water District, Wallace/Mullan; and the 25th Avenue transmission/distribution project, Spokane, Wash., demonstrate her ability to execute highly complex projects. Osterdock will support Welch Comer’s focus to further expand their client base in North Idaho and Eastern Washington. Osterdock graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School as valedictorian and earned her civil engineering degree from the University of Idaho.

Welch Comer Engineers has provided engineering services to primarily public clients in North Idaho and Eastern Washington for more than 35 years.
