Snow, accidents keep piling up

Snow hasn't been the only thing piling up the last couple of days.

Kootenai County police agencies have responded to 67 vehicle crashes and slideoffs.

Police in Post Falls issued several warnings Sunday on social media.

“Be advised of mutliple crashes on Interstate 90 through Post Falls at this time. They are blocking the Interstate right now. Avoid the Interstate if you need to be driving at this time,” said one of the department’s Facebook updates.

Here’s a roundup of just how busy local law enforcement officers were.

POST FALLS POLICE: Between 5 p.m. Sunday and 3 p.m. Monday, PFPD responded to 30 weather-related accidents, slideoffs and and traffic hazards.

KOOTENAI COUNTY SHERIFF: Between 2 a.m. Sunday and 3 p.m. Monday, KCSO responded to 16 slide-offs and car crashes.

COEUR D'ALENE POLICE: Beteen 2 a.m. Sunday and 3 p.m. Monday, the CPD responded to 13 car accidents.

IDAHO STATE POLICE: Between Sunday evening and early Monday, local ISP responded to eight traffic accidents.
