BigSky Direct, an internet service provider, is coming to Sanders County.
BigSky Direct will be a provider for both business and residential customers. Matt Jaramillo, the CEO and owner of BigSky Direct, and Philip Marley are working hard to get ready for business and residential customers.
Jaramillo took time away from his work to discuss the business and how it will benefit customers.
“Our plan is to launch on Feb. 1, 2017,” Jaramillo said. “We are going to have the website up within the next couple of days.”
At this time BigSky Direct has 65 customers in the area. The goal is to provide the fastest and best quality internet service in the area.
BigSky Direct lines will be different from other internet service providers.
“Our line will transfer the data at very fast speeds and will be dedicated,” Jaramillo said. “We will be offering packages at very affordable rates that businesses and residents can afford.”
Jaramillo added that BigSky’s data transfer rate will be 450 megabits per second. He also said businesses are encouraged bring in computers to be repaired.
“We will be a full-service IT company,” he said. “I have been doing this since 1998. We have been picking up a lot of equipment.”
The reason the data transfer rates will be fast is the type of equipment being used by BigSky Direct.
“We are using optic air fiber,” Jaramillo said. “When we get our tower up in March our customers will have a signal all the way to Thompson Falls. There will not be any loss of signal, or dead zones.”
