Hold on for yet more wild weather swings ahead.
Temperatures are expected to dip to near 0 and perhaps even below in some areas tonight and Thursday before rising into the 40s with rain on Tuesday and Wednesday next week, Press Meteorologist Randy Mann said.
“It will start getting warmer as early as Monday and the rain will make a mess and may even bring flooding concerns,” Mann said. “We’ll lose about half of our snow.
“We’ll go from 0 this week to above-normal temperatures next week.”
Mann said the heavy snow predicted for this weekend has fizzled to scattered showers.
He said he expects the bulk of this winter's frigid weather will be behind us after the front that’s expected to hit tonight.
“The last part of winter will not be nearly as rough as the first,” he said. “The January thaw is coming next week.”
