COEUR d’ALENE — With the second week of the 2017 Idaho Legislature wrapping up, District 4 State Reps. Luke Malek and Paul Amador are hosting a Town Hall Forum with constituents in Coeur d’Alene.
The meeting will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, at Coeur d’Alene Fire Station 3, 1500 N. 15th St.
“We hope the community will join us to learn more about Gov. Otter’s proposed budget and early updates from the session,” said Rep. Amador. “Rep. Malek and I are committed to representing your voices in the Capitol. We want to hear directly from you. Please come and let us know what important issues you want to see lawmakers tackle this session.”
The two Republican lawmakers will also discuss bills they plan to sponsor this session.
“The recent presidential election is a victory over the tyranny of federal control,” said Rep. Malek. “Now, Idaho has the freedom to build a health care system that is best for Idahoans. Health care is inefficient and expensive. We have the opportunity to develop our own unique model to drive those costs down in our state. This session, I will be very engaged in reducing health care expenses.”
