Come on in to share some traditional Shepherd’s pie, Bubbles and Squeeks, Red and Green cake and heartwarming soup as you immerse yourself in the traditions of Scotland.

As the month draws to a close, Scots around the world celebrate life of Robert Burns, national poet hailed “the greatest Scot of all time.” This annual celebration provides Scottish traditions, festivities, and décor. Burns, who wrote more than 550 well-known poems and songs before his death in 1796, mainly focused on political and civil issues that made him into an important Scottish icon.

A traditional Burns Night celebration would start with a host reading the “Address to a Haggis,” which is an ode Burns wrote in appreciation of the classic Scottish dish. This is a signal for the feast to begin. Rather than focusing entirely on the poet, however, we have included the tastier Scottish dishes and invited the Celtic band, Free Whiskey, to the party.

Free Whiskey is a Celtic folk-rock group known for inciting random acts of dancing, revelry, and spontaneous sing-alongs. Free Whiskey brings a cool mix of old and new, playing punchy pub fare, traditional melodies, and rowdy rock anthems to fit any crowd. The band consists of drums, guitar, fiddle, mandolin, bass, whistle, bodhran, and lush vocals. Free Whiskey is guaranteed to produce a good time as we celebrate Scotland with the biggest party of the season.
