EVERETT, Wash. — Riley Woods, the first shooter, scored the only goal of the shootout to complete the Spokane Chiefs’ 4-3 comeback victory over the Everett Silvertips in Western Hockey League play Sunday night before 4,408 at Xfinity Arena.

The goal snapped an 0-for-12 streak in shootout rounds for Spokane.

The Chiefs trailed 2-0 before Hudson Elynuik’s redirect goal, his 17th of the season, 4 minutes into the second period. Woods tied it at 16:30 after deking Everett keeper Carter Hart.

Everett took the lead back 12 seconds later on a shot from the blue line, but Kailer Yamamoto tied it at 3 with his team-leading 30th goal, 31 seconds into the third period.

Spokane (20-20-5-2, 47 points), now tied with Portland for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference, hosts Seattle in a makeup game Tuesday at Spokane Arena.
