ACCIDENT: And fine result
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 8 years, 10 months AGO
Monday morning driving in the fog as I approached Hayden and Meyer intersections, I went to stop and my brakes locked. My choice was to hit the car in front of me, swerve into traffic or go into a snow bank. I chose the snow bank and looked like I was going to be there for awhile. My insurance road service kept telling me I was in Grangeville and we kept this up for awhile. I do believe I was talking to someone in the South. Why is that anyhow?
HOWEVER, to the rescue, my good Samaritan and the Kootenai Sheriff’s office. My good Samaritan used his truck to pull me out and the two officers were digging with shovels and then stopping traffic. All in all, I was amazed at their hard work and generosity of spirit. But my Samaritan took off before I could get his name. So THANK YOU Kootenai Sheriff’s officers and to my Good Samaritan in the shining black truck! Meanwhile, somewhere in Grangeville…
