SANDPOINT — The Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce recently welcomed Preferred Pastries to the organization with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Owner Bob Walker started Preferred Pastries in 2014 after attending Le Cordon Bleu Pastry Chef School. Bob’s mobile kitchen can be found around town selling homemade pastries and “cat head-size biscuits and gravy” like his father taught him to make. “Most everyone in Sandpoint and the tourists who visit northern Idaho are my customers,” Walker said.

His Facebook page “Preferred Pastries” is the best place to follow to find where Bob is currently selling pastries. He can be found at North 40 on Saturdays from 8 a.m.–3 p.m. and at events held at Schweitzer Mountain Resort and Bonner County Fair.

Bob also teaches pie making classes in his mobile kitchen, taking on two students at a time and making a pie from start to finish.

“Please join the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce in welcoming Preferred Pastries and wishing them continued success in our community,” said Kate McAlister, chamber executive director and CEO.
