Lazier Creek Fire UPDATE

There are no new major updates for the Lazier Creek 3 blaze.

Road closures are still in place on the Thompson River Road at the junction with Hwy 2 south to the 17-mile bridge. The N. ACM Road remains open but please be cautious of increased traffic in the area.

The Northern Rockies Incident Management Team advises that the fire is 30% contained.

Firefighters are continuing to improve and construct fire breaks on the south and eastern portions. Hand crews and heavy equipment is still in use.

Aerial assistance will continue with helicopters utilizing bucket drops.

Crews on the north, west and southwest flanks will continue to hold and improve the fire line breaks.

Numerous structures are still under threat, a structure group will be assessing structures within that area and begin protection work on those under threat.
