SANDPOINT — The Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce has announced the selection of Evans Brothers Coffee Roasters as the organization’s Business of the Month.

Evans Brothers was selected for the award because of their commitment to quality and their support of community events.

Rick and Randy Evans started Evans Brothers Coffee Roasters in summer 2009 after developing their vision over long rides on Chair 6 skiing at Schweitzer Mountain Resort. The two brothers wanted to bring a new experience around coffee to the region to create deep connections throughout the supply chain and to bring value to communities in the area.

The Evans brothers said they do their homework about the coffee they purchase, learning about everything from the origin, farmer, and cultivation to the processing and storage. Sustainability is important to them, and the pair seek out relationships with producers who share their beliefs and passion for providing the best coffee possible.

Whenever they can, Rick and Randy Evans travel to cultivate relationships with their producing partners, and they strive to tell their story and honor the hard work they put in.

Evans Brothers Coffee Roasters brings great value to the Sandpoint community by participating in many events and activities in the area; supporting organizations such as Food For Our Children, The Festival at Sandpoint, The Scenic Half Marathon and others.

“We are grateful for this community and all the support we have been given. We are passionate about where we live and being a part of the overall success,” said Randy Evans.

Chamber officials said they are very thankful for their support for its events.

“We use their services quite a bit at the Chamber from meetings to Leadership Sandpoint classes,” said Kate McAlister, president and CEO of the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce. “Even my daughter and her family, who live in Seattle, requests Evans Brothers every time we go to visit.”
