SANDPOINT — The Bonner County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a man who last seen in the Clark Fork area on July 12.

David A. Xanatos, 37, is Caucasian male who is 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs approximately 225 pounds, according to the Idaho State Police Missing Persons Clearinghouse. He has brown hair and hazel eyes.

Friends and family have not heard from Xanatos and calls to his mobile phone go unanswered, state police said. He is known to drive a blue 1988 Chevrolet pickup truck with an Idaho license plate number of 7B-L6090. He may be in the company of his dog, Snickers. He wears a Celtic spiral necklace and a paracord bracelet.

Those with information about Xanatos’ whereabouts are asked to call Bonner Dispatch at 265-5525.

Xanatos is the third person to go missing in the area this month.

A Newman Lake, Wash., man disappeared while boating on Lake Pend Oreille on July 2. He presumably drowned near Cedar Creek after his unoccupied boat was found idling in the lake. A sonar-assisted search by Kootenai County sheriff’s officials was called off this week.

Authorities in Pend Oreille County, meanwhile, are asking for the public’s help in finding Marty J. Lang, who was last seen on July 14 after picking up his dogs in Coeur d’Alene.

Those with information about Lang’s whereabouts are asked to the Pend Oreille County Sheriff’s Office at 800-669-3407.
