Bad luck last weekend for the Glacier Twins at the District Tournament.
The Twins were toppled 5-4 Friday evening by the Kalispell Lakers and then again on Saturday by the top-seeded Bitterroot Red Sox.
On Friday, the Twins had six hits. Greyson Bistodeau doubled and Tyler Murphy hit a home run. They lost the game to the Lakers in the top of the seventh when they failed to turn a double play and had an overthrow at first.
The Red Sox, defending champs in the tourney, beat the Twins 8-2 Saturday night.
Prior to these losses, the Twins had gotten off to a good start Thursday with a seven-run second inning and 13-3 win over the Mission Valley Mariners.
On Sunday, the Red Sox kept their crown by besting the Lakers 3-0. Both teams will advance to the state tournament.
