The Flathead Rapids U14 girls soccer team ended their spring season as champions of the Intermountain Champions Cup in Missoula last weekend.

The Rapids opened the Missoula tournament on Friday evening with a 1-0 win over the Spokane Sounders off a goal by Sophie Olson.

Suffering their only loss of the tournament, the Rapids came up short in a tough 0-1 loss against the Bozeman Blitzz on Saturday morning.

The Rapids rallied back with a 1-0 win off a goal by Emma Barron on Saturday night against the Spokane Breakers.

On Sunday, the Rapids defeated the Edge Razors from Billings 1-0 with a goal late in the game by Barron on an assist by Brigid Nallymadigan.

The Rapids defense led the team in all games with keeper Sami Galbraith earning three shut outs and the defensive efforts of Anna Akey, Josie Schneider, Brigid Nallymadigan, Claire Anderson, and Maya Lacey allowing only one goal in four games.

Coach John Lacey leads the team.
