SANDPOINT — The Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce recently welcomed Huckleberry Hill Bed and Breakfast to the chamber with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The culmination of a lifetime dream, owner Gina Hurley opened Huckleberry Hill Bed and Breakfast, 248 Woodland Drive, in May 2015. The bed and breakfast is located about five minutes from the center of Sandpoint and 15 minutes from the top of Schweitzer Mountain. Hurley said the bed and breakfast focuses on small town hospitality, luxury comforts, and fine food with three guest rooms and a cozy gathering room with refreshments, games, and a TV for guests.

The two-and-one-half-acre property boasts a deck, fire pit, and a bocce ball court for outdoor enjoyment. Also available is boat or trailer parking and a storage area for sports equipment. Best of all, you’ll eat like a locavore with a scratch-made gourmet breakfast, made with local farm fresh eggs and meats, served daily. Of course, hand-picked Idaho huckleberries will be served at least once during guests’ stay, Hurley said.

Hurley said she is always available to assist guests with planning their day’s activities or making reservations for an evening out and has bikes, a double kayak, and four sets of snowshoes available for use.

“Whether visitors are coming to ski, hike, boat, or relax Huckleberry Hill Bed and Breakfast is the ideal base for a visit to Sandpoint,” she said. “Huckleberry Hill Bed and Breakfast is perfect for everyone from families wishing to gather, girls’ getaway, couples looking for a base for adventure and sightseeing, and winter visitors planning their ski trips.”
