Two Post Falls men were among 18 suspects arrested this week in what investigators call "an alleged significant drug-trafficking enterprise."
Edward Wayne Fedele, 43, and Trevor Edward Fedele, 21, were arrested in Post Falls on Thursday by the FBI's North Idaho Violent Crimes Task Force.
The two, along with the 16 others arrested who are from Spokane, Spokane Valley, Yakima and Nine Mile Falls in Washington, face charges for conspiracy to distribute cocaine and methamphetamine. Four additional suspects — all from the Spokane area — remain on the run.
"The arrests are the culmination of a two-year investigation by the Spokane Regional Safe Streets Task Force," said Spokane County Sheriff's Office Deputy Mark Gregory.
"Investigators in Spokane, Yakima and Post Falls searched locations believed to contain evidence of the criminal activity of this enterprise and made numerous arrests."
More than 100 federal, state, and local law enforcement agents coordinated arrest and search operations at 15 locations throughout the region, including in Post Falls.
The suspects will face the charges in U.S. District Court.
The U.S. Marshals Service and the Drug Enforcement Administration were also involved in the case.
No other details on the enforcement action were released Thursday.
