Former Hot Springs Savage Heat player Trevor Paro capped his high school football career at the Class-C, 6-man All-Star Game a couple of weeks ago at Custer.

Paro, who scored 135 career regular season touchdowns, finished his career in the the all-star showcase with an exclamation point with seven touchdowns in a game in which 148 points were scored between the two teams.

Paro’s teammate, Kane Lawson, both members of the team that captured the Class-C-, 6-man state football championship, also added two touchdowns of his own.

In the first quarter of the game, Lawson scampered for a 2-yard touchdown run with 7:16 left to go.

The second quarter was dominated by the Savage Heat teammates. Paro scored on a 30-yard pass from Trustin Holcomb with 10:58 to go in the second quarter. 37 seconds later, Paro found himself in the end zone again, scoring on a 5-yard touchdown run. Paro then scored on a 29-yard run with 5:42in the half and Kane Lawson capped the red team’s scoring with a 31-yard run with 2:38 left before halftime.

Paro scored a pair of touchdowns in the third and fourth quarter. Paro’s first touchdown in the third quarter was a 24-yard pass from Holcomb with 4:57 seconds left and then he scored on a 1-yard run with 1:14 left in the third quarter.

Paro’s two fourth quarter touchdown’s both came on runs. He scored on a 22-yard run with 4:21 left and 10 seconds later, scored his seventh and final touchdown capping his high school career with a 49-yard touchdown run.

In a previous interview with the Valley Press, Paro admitted being addicted to scoring touchdowns since his first-ever touchdown, a 60-yard run against Lincoln. His last regular season or playoff touchdown was a 45-yard reception against Grenora-Westby in the 2016 Class-C, 6-man state football championship.

Paro, who holds the Montana state record for most touchdowns in a career, said he never tires of scoring.

“Scoring a touchdown never gets old,” Paro said. “I love crowd reaction. It was the same when I scored my first touchdown as I did all the way to my 135th touchdown. It just never gets old.”
