SANDPOINT — OK, kids — it is officially official. Summer has arrived! Get out and enjoy this weekend with live music at the Sandpoint Farmers Market and be sure to make your way up to Schweitzer this Sunday for free chairlift rides, live music and lots more as the mountain celebrates the season on 7B Sunday.

DiLuna’s Café has back-to-back shows this weekend, with live blues Friday night and the Storytelling Company performance on Saturday. Also this weekend, the Panida screen the award-winning charmer of a film, ‘I, Daniel Blake’ and local live music venues are chock-full of activity for your listening pleasure.

Kevin Dorin

‘I, Daniel Blake’

Winner of the Palme d’Or at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival, the latest from legendary director Ken Loach is a gripping, human tale about the impact one man can make. Gruff but goodhearted, Daniel Blake (Dave Johns) is a 59-year-old carpenter recovering from a heart attack who befriends a single mother and her two kids as they navigate their way through the impersonal, Kafkaesque benefits system.

Polly O’Keary & The Rhythm Method

‘Legally Blonde’

Directed by Charlie Monte with music directed by Millie Brumbaugh and choreography by Isabelle White, ‘Legally Blonde, The Musical’ is written by Heather Hach and based on the blockbuster 2001 film starring Reese Witherspoon. It tells the story of Elle Woods, a sorority girl who enrolls at Harvard Law School to win back her ex-boyfriend, Warner, after he dumps her for not being ‘serious enough.’

‘June Bug Ball’ Dance
