SANDPOINT — A 25-unit recreational vehicle park is being proposed in Sagle.

The Bonner County Planning & Zoning Commission is conducting a public hearing on a conditional use permit for the park on Thursday, July 13. The hearing is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. in the Bonner County Administration Building.

The park would be situated on a 2.8-acre parcel on U.S. Highway 95, approximately 850 south of Dufort Road, according to Planning Department records. The property is located within a commercial zone district.

The project’s applicant Valerie Hester said in the permit application that accessory structures such as a gazebo, bathrooms and a caretaker’s dwelling may be added to the site at a later date. The park will be served by a Panhandle Health District-approved injection drainfield and an existing well. The park is expected to generate approximately 20 vehicle trips on a daily basis, according to the project application.

A Bonner County Planning Department staff report on the project is pending and will be published to the department’s website (http://bonnercounty.us/projects/ a week before P&Z takes up the permit request.
