Upcoming bow hunter and hunters education courses

Libby bow hunter and hunters education classroom courses are open for registration.

You must register online at www.fwp.mt.gov to register and for class information.

Bow hunter class starts July 12, 2017 at the Frontier Communications building. Hunters Education class starts July 24, 2017 at the Libby Elementary School.

All classes are free. Field days for classroom courses are not opened to those who took the adult online course.

New law allows recovery of bighorn skulls, horns

With the passage of Senate Bill 344 into law, it is now legal to pick up and possess the skulls and horns of bighorn sheep that died of natural causes. Those who recover horns and/or skulls must report the find to Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks within 48 hours and present it to FWP for inspection and plugging within 10 days. The fee for inspection and plugging is $25.
