Authorities ID victim of fatal crash in downtown Kalispell

Authorities have identified the victim of a fatal crash in downtown Kalispell on Tuesday morning.
The man, identified as 45-year-old Timothy Dale Dowling of Somers, was pronounced dead on the scene of the crash while his juvenile female passenger was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center for treatment.
According to Flathead County Sheriff Chuck Curry, Dowling was driving southbound on Main Street when the car crossed the center line and struck a pickup at the intersection of Fifth Street head on.
The two passengers in the pickup sustained no serious injuries.
Dowling’s body has been sent to the Montana State Crime Lab for autopsy. The cause of the crash and the cause of death are still pending.
