Hungry Horse woman's body found in river

A Hungry Horse woman’s body was found in the Flathead River last week and her death is still under investigation.

Kassy Lynn Browning, 68, of Hungry Horse was found June 20 by a woman walking along the river just south of the Teakettle Fishing Access site.

According to a press release from the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office, Browning was reported missing June 10 by family members from the Hungry Horse area.

Deputies responded to the call at around 10 p.m. that night.

According to Flathead County Sheriff Chuck Curry, the cause of Browning’s death is still pending, and the case is still under investigation.
