Truck driver injured in I-90 crash near George

GEORGE — A Moses Lake man was injured in an early Wednesday morning collision on Interstate 90 near George.

About 6:20 a.m. Kenneth Johnson, 55, of Moses Lake, was driving a 2001 Freightliner towing a flatbed trailer west on I-90, about four miles west of George, when he reportedly left the road to the left. The semi went over an embankment and came to a rest at Silica Road, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Johnson was seriously injured and airlifted via LifeFlight helicopter to Confluence Health-Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee for treatment. Citations are pending, according to the patrol.
