Bonner County Daily Bee | UPDATED 7 years, 10 months AGO
Bonner County Rodeo and Fair Royalty invite the public to attend the second Rhinestones & Royalty event. The fundraiser will be held Saturday, March 11 at the Bonner County Fairgrounds.
This fundraiser is a scholarship program that also helps raised funds toward expenses that the 2017 royalty incur during their reign and help open more opportunities for them to make a bigger impact promoting the Bonner County community around the region.
This family-friendly fundraiser will consist of a barbecue dinner provided by the Klondyke, a no-host bar, silent and live auctions, dessert dash, kids activity area and dancing to the live music of Devon Wade. Attire is anything from cowboy casual to black tie – your choice!
Tickets cost $15 apiece or 2 for $25 if purchased by March 6. Afterward, tickets are $15 each. If purchased the day of the event, no guarantee on dinner being included, so best to buy early to enjoy the Klondyke’s barbecue. Sponsor tables are also available for $200 which include table and dinner for 8, drink tickets, name in program, and priority dining.
Tickets can be purchased from any of the 2017 Bonner County Fair or Rodeo Royalty, the Bonner County Fair Office, online from the Bonner County Fair website, or from the Royalty Coordinator, LeAnne Catala, at BCR.Royalty@gmail.com.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. The program will follow at 7 p.m., dessert dash at 7:30 p.m., and the live auction begins at 7:45 p.m. Live music will begin at 8:30 p.m.
The program will consist of honoring the 2017 rodeo and fair royalty, recognizing visiting royalty attending the event, and donor and sponsor appreciation.
Guest speaker Freya Ford Jensen will speak to the relationship between royalty ambassadors and the success of a community and its events. Freya landed her first title as Miss Bonner County Rodeo in 2006. She also held the titles of Miss Pro-West 2007 and Miss Rodeo Idaho 2009. Freya went on to the Miss Rodeo America Pageant where she was 1st Runner Up.
