SANDPOINT — A Sagle man was arrested last month on outstanding warrants for three counts of second-degree rape of a child in Washington state.
Jordan Wesley Buck was spotted by a Bonner County sheriff’s deputy as he walked near the north end of the U.S. Highway 95 Long Bridge on Feb. 23. Buck attempted to pass himself off as somebody else when questioned, the deputy’s report said.
Buck was arrested for providing false information after his stated date of birth and stated age conflicted, the report said.
Buck, 24, is accused of having sexual intercourse with the girl in Pend Oreille County between May and August of 2014. The girl was 12 years old at the time, while Buck was 22.
The charges did not emerge in Pend Oreille County Superior Court until December 2016, according to the Washington state’s courts database.
Buck was ordered held in lieu of a $250,000 bail and is waiving extradition to answer to the charges in Washington, court records indicate.
A governor’s warrant hearing is set for March 24 in the magistrate division of 1st District Court.
Buck was convicted of possessing a concealed weapon and drug paraphernalia in Bonner County in 2011, according to the Idaho Supreme Court Database.
If convicted on the Washington charges, Buck could be sentenced to life in prison and fined up by up to $50,000.
