Headache and migraine pain are common conditions with over 37 million sufferers in the United States alone. Some folks know when their pain started, such as an accident or sports injury. Others don’t.

Most headache patients look for help in the same places which include over-the-counter and prescription medications to get some relief which is temporary at best. Behavioral changes such as acupuncture, MRI, physical therapy, chiropractic, etc., are also recommended by physicians and specialists to decrease the frequency of headache episodes.

Headache Pain and the “Medicate First: Mind-set

Headache sufferers often try to manage their pain with over-the-counter drugs before they seek help from professionals. Most also change their behaviors to decrease frequency of headaches by avoiding triggers that they know start the headaches. But what happens when over-the-counter drugs don’t work? Usually they go to a physician for help in getting pain relief. However, most physicians rely on knowledge of drugs to get rid of headache pain symptoms because it is what they are familiar with.

And there is always the potential for medications to have serious side effects and create serious health risks.

There is a Better Way!

Surprisingly, for most headache and migraine pain patients there might be a way that doesn’t involve either drugs or surgery and one that works long term. A cure for the 'common' headache

Headaches mean big business, and this is especially the case when the cause underlying the headache pain goes undetected and therefore the headache pain is not successfully treated. Drugs are not a cure; they are not like antibiotics which actually kill bacteria that are causing the sickness. Drugs only mask the headache pain symptoms until the drug wears off, and they can cause other problems and even make the pain worse so one has to take even higher doses of drugs.
