Police identify shooting victim and suspect; victim posted about domestic violence on Facebook

COEUR d'ALENE - The woman found dead Wednesday in a car parked at Kootenai Health has been identified by Coeur d'Alene police detectives as Kelly A. Pease, 37, of Coeur d'Alene.

Pease was discovered by a hospital employee inside her vehicle with a gunshot wound to the head.

A warrant to arrest Steven T. Denson, 61, on suspicion of first-degree murder, has been issued, said a news release issued by the Coeur d'Alene Police Department.

Denson, from Post Falls, was recently in a relationship with Pease, police said. He was last seen driving a 2000, white Nissan Pathfinder with Washington plate: A VA9015.

Denson is 6 feet tall, weighs 225 pounds and has gray hair and hazel eyes.

He should be considered armed and dangerous.
