LEVY: Follow the money

Before you vote for or against the levy election it would be good to understand how that money is going to be used. The largest share of the state budget is spent on education. One of the largest expenses on our property taxes, including bonds and levies is education.
Starting salary for a teacher with a B.A. in Coeur d’Alene is $33,400. After 15 years and 70 additional credits it is $60,583.00.
They always tell us it is for the children, but actually the money is almost always spent on teachers.
You be the judge and vote accordingly.
