I urge the Sandpoint City Council to revisit and correct their recent passing of the Greenprint, so that it excludes members of Bonner County that live outside Sandpoint city limits. Although we may have a Sandpoint ZIP code, we are not allowed to vote in Ccity elections; likewise, the Sandpoint City Council does not have authority over what occurs outside the city limits in Bonner County.

Your lack of transparency, attempts to control areas outside your assigned purview, are totally unacceptable. I’d like to see a response from the Sandpoint City Council listing the costs and employee hours involved in having all the “Greenprint Parcel Report” made up for each/all the county parcels, outside Sandpoint city limits.

Quite frankly, I find it deplorable that the “city council” would attempt to dictate how privately owned property should/is to be used, that is outside the Sandpoint city limits. In reviewing the Greenprint report for my property, and its stacked priorities breakdown, who do you think you are to tell me that I should, “Provide better hunting and fishing access” to my entire property, for others? My land is just that, my private property. Stick within the Sandpoint city limits and leave the rest of us alone.
