Paint the Lake City green on St. Patrick’s Day with Coeur d’Alene Rotary.

The entire community is invited to attend Coeur d’Irish, Coeur d’Alene Rotary’s second St. Patrick’s Day celebration being held Friday at The Coeur d’Alene Resort. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

“After the success we had at last year’s Coeur d’Irish Rotary event, I believe everyone is a little bit Irish on St. Patrick’s Day,” said Rotary Club president Heidi Rogers. “Wear green and join us for Coeur d’Alene’s own St. Patrick’s Day Party to raise money for a good cause and most importantly have a great time.”

Coeur d’Irish will showcase Irish musical performances and include Lucky Irish Food Stations full of Irish delights including corned beef and cabbage, Irish stew, chicken sliders, beer-battered sausage, soda bread and other Irish fare. Green beer will flow along with Irish whiskey tastings.

The evening will also feature the Rhythm Dawgs dance band offering a wide variety of musical styles, from 1950s rock to today’s Top 40.

“Last year we had over 450 people attend,” said Michelle Dirks, co-chair of the event. “This year, being on a Friday night and the addition of the Rhythm Dawgs, we anticipate an even bigger crowd and more fun for everyone.”

Tickets are $35 and include food and entertainment. For tickets, visit www.coeurdirish.com. For more information check out the blog with pictures from last year’s event, or call Laurie Thomas at (208) 659-4629. The Coeur d’Alene Resort is also offering accommodations at a discounted rate for attendees.

“Coeur d’Alene Rotary Club is proud to have a festive event that celebrates St. Patrick’s Day and brings the community together,” said event co-chair Jody Azevedo. “...we are looking forward to another amazing turnout of Rotarians and community members.”

Reserved sponsorship tables for eight are $1,000 and include seating for eight, green beer and recognition/ advertising at the event. All funds raised will support the Coeur d’Alene Rotary Club’s community service grants and projects throughout the community, along with the Club’s International service projects.
