Meyers hired to lead Parks Foundation

The Panhandle Parks Foundation Board has hired Tracy Meyers as executive director.

Meyers, of Hayden, is described as an avid user of the region’s parks, trails and lakes. She holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Lewis-Clark State College and has more than 20 years of diverse, professional business experience. She has worked in environmental, retail, manufacturing and nonprofit industries.

The Panhandle Parks Foundation is an independent nonprofit dedicated to enhancing healthy and vibrant communities by facilitating acquisition, support and preservation of parks, open space and recreational facilities in North Idaho. It was established for the purpose of acquiring park land, holding property for parks and accruing funds for the development of future parks.

Hanna & Associates announces hires

Coeur d’Alene-based marketing communications company Hanna & Associates Inc. recently added four employees, according to the company’s CEO, Jeff Hanna.

Lisa Aitken will be serving as a new account executive at Hanna & Associates. She was previously Community Relations Coordinator at Kootenai Health. Prior to that, she was the national marketing manager with Pita Pit USA, an international quick-serve restaurant chain.

Jacquie Masterson brings award-winning graphic design skills to the firm. Prior to joining Hanna, Masterson was senior designer at Washington State University’s College of Nursing. In her career, Masterson also has served at many local marketing agencies in roles that include web designer, illustrator, and graphic and professional artist.

Sam Morris was hired as digital media manager at Hanna. He has a decade of business management experience with expertise in search engine optimization and marketing, web analysis, video and content marketing. Morris is certified in Google AdWords and Google Analytics.

Samantha Charlton joins Hanna as traffic coordinator. She has two years of previous marketing experience, and specializes in project organization and management.

Crandall earns estate planning law specialist certification

Crandall Law Group announced Jeff Crandall is newly certified as an Estate Planning Law Specialist. This award is one of the few specialist certifications recognized by the Idaho State Bar. Crandall joins only a handful of attorneys in the state of Idaho who have earned this designation.

The Estate Law Specialist Board, Inc., an attorney-run affiliate of the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils, is the only program accredited by the American Bar Association for certifying an attorney as an Estate Planning Law Specialist. Certification demonstrates the attorney possesses superior knowledge and experience and allows the attorney to advertise and identify himself as a “specialist.”

To become an Estate Planning Law Specialist, an attorney must devote at least one-third of his practice to estate planning for a minimum of five years, pass a comprehensive examination, and receive multiple recommendations from other attorneys.

Crandall has practiced estate planning in North Idaho and Washington for more than two decades and recently founded Crandall Law Group with his son, Ryan Crandall. He describes Crandall Law Group as “a boutique law firm focusing solely in the fields of business and estate planning.”
