A two-vehicle crash on Montana 56 in Lincoln County west of Libby left a Troy woman dead and three injured Tuesday morning.
Richard Davidson, 26, of Libby was arrested and will be charged with criminal possession of dangerous drugs and either negligent homicide or vehicular homicide while under the influence, according to Lincoln County Sheriff Roby Bowe.
The head-on collision killed Lauria Cooper, 45, and injured her son and his friend, who were in the car with her, according to Bowe. Both children were taken to the hospital with non-critical injuries.
Bowe said Davidson also sustained minor injuries. Both vehicles were totaled in the accident.
According to Bowe, drugs were found during a search of Davidson’s vehicle.
