Cards get split in opener

ONTARIO, Ore. — Jamie Yurick, Natalie Schwab and Megan Carver drove in three runs each for North Idaho College in a 10-6 win against the Treasure Valley Chukers in the Northwest Athletic Conference East Region opener for both teams on Friday.

Yurick, Raynor and Kalyna Korok scored two runs each for NIC, which scored seven runs in the sixth inning.

Treasure Valley scored in the bottom of the eighth inning to beat NIC in the second game.

NIC (5-3) plays a doubleheader at Blue Mountain today in Pendleton, Ore.
