SANDPOINT — On Saturday, March 25, shoppers can experience extraordinary shopping at local thrift stores in Sandpoint and Ponderay as the sixth annual Tour de Thrift.
The Tour de Thrift is combination of bargain shopping and prizes as customers travel through Sandpoint and Ponderay thrift stores in search of quality secondhand merchandise. Eight local stores have joined forces for this special day, each offering discounts, and special one-day sales to entice and delight. In addition, shoppers have the opportunity to win great prizes.
Shoppers can pick up a passport at any of the participating locations, then visit the stores to get them stamped and be entered into a contest to win the grand prize — a stay at Talus Rock Retreat.
“As the new manager, I’m excited to participate in this great event for the first time,” Panhandle Animal Shelter Thrift Store manager Katherine Deacon said.
The event is headed by Panhandle Animal Shelter Thrift Store. Participating stores also include Bizarre Bazaar, Sanctuary Seconds, Goodwill, Panhandle Special Needs, Inc.’s The Cottage, The Cove, Once Again, and Now and Then.
Through a cooperative effort of advertising and a strong spirit of community, every store will benefit and so will shoppers.
The store times will vary at each location.
