During the city council meeting on Monday, Libby Mayor Brent Teske announced that Janelle Campbell, who’s served on the Libby City Council for almost six months, will be resigning.

Campbell, who filled Teske’s vacant seat after he was named mayor, was unable to attend the council meeting, Teske said, because she was sick.

According to Teske, Campbell told him in a letter that she had other priorities and she didn’t want to miss meetings because of them.

The City Council has seen multiple resignations in the past year, including former Mayor Doug Roll, council member Barb Desch and council member Dejon Raines, who all resigned last year.
