The bunny is coming, and so are egg hunts

The snow is almost gone, spring is here and that big ol’ rabbit will soon be hopping into town.
It’s almost time to grab a basket and go hunt for eggs at one of the Easter events planned for kids in the Coeur d’Alene area.
- Easter for Kids | Saturday, April 1. 10 a.m. to noon. Skyway Elementary, 6621 Courcelles Parkway, Coeur d’Alene. Hosted by The Vine Church. Crafts, songs, creative learning activities, games, Easter video, the Easter story and egg hunt. Ages 3 to 12. Free, but space is limited. - Easter Eggstravaganza | Saturday, April 15. 11 a.m. Fernan Elementary, 520 N. 21st St., Coeur d’Alene. Hosted by Prairie Avenue Community Church. Free lunch, live music, face painting, crafts. Eight bicycles will be given away. Egg hunt, with more than 20,000 eggs, begins at noon. For fifth-graders and younger. Prizes at 12:15. Free.
- Community Easter Egg Hunt | Easter Sunday, April 16. 10 a.m. Kootenai County Fairgrounds, 2056 N. Government Way, Coeur d’Alene. Hosted by The Cause Church. More than 50 prize eggs, thousands of candy-filled eggs. Prizes include Silverwood tickets, Nintendo 3DS systems, tablets, multiple Lego sets, bikes, tricycles, and other prizes for kids and toddlers. All ages up to 12. Egg hunt divided by age groups.
