Sandra M.

Sisson

(Sartain), 63

Sandra M. Sisson (Sartain), 63, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on March 23, 2017, at Kootenai Health in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and she will be missed greatly by her family. Sandy was born Aug. 6, 1953, at Providence Hospital in Seattle, Wash., and lived most of her life in Renton, Wash.

In 2014, she moved to Coeur d’Alene to be closer to family. Sandy had three children, Brad Sisson (wife Anna Collier) of Ridgefield, Wash., Kelly Dutro (husband Dave) of Coeur d’Alene and Karina Magrath (husband Tommy) of Coeur d’Alene. She is also survived by one brother; four sisters; many beautiful nieces and nephews; and five grandchildren, Jacob Sisson, Scott Knapp, Jennifer Sisson, Claudia Knapp and Remington Magrath.

Sandy loved to spend time with her family and she was always ready to drop everything to help her family out at a moment’s notice. Sandy was a strong woman who survived hard times without a complaint. Her favorite activities included spending time hiking in the woods and exploring the Kootenai County area with her special friend, Mike, and caring for her granddaughter and best friend, Remi. Remi and Nana would spend all day walking around the Plaza Shops, going to the library for book babies and having picnics in the park.

A celebration of Sandy’s life will be held from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2017, at her daughter’s home, 1215 N. Second St., Coeur d’Alene (additional parking is available at the St. Vinny Help Center, 201 E. Harrison Ave.). There are many wonderful and funny stories about our mother Sandy and we would like to put together an album for my niece, Remi. Please email your stories to Kelly Dutro at kscknapp3@gmail.com.
