It’s almost time to grab a basket and go hunt for eggs at one of the Easter events planned for kids in the Coeur d’Alene area.
- Easter for Kids | Saturday, April 1. 10 a.m. to noon. Skyway Elementary, 6621 Courcelles Parkway, Coeur d’Alene. Hosted by The Vine Church. Crafts, songs, creative learning activities, games, Easter video, the Easter story and egg hunt. Ages 3 to 12. Free, but space is limited. - Easter Eggstravaganza | Saturday, April 15. 11 a.m. Fernan Elementary, 520 N. 21st St., Coeur d’Alene. Hosted by Prairie Avenue Community Church. Free lunch, live music, face painting, crafts. Eight bicycles will be given away. Egg hunt, with more than 20,000 eggs, begins at noon. For fifth-graders and younger. Prizes at 12:15. Free.
- Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt | Saturday, April 15. 8 p.m. Community United Methodist Church, corner of Hanley Avenue and Ramsey Road, Coeur d’Alene. Hunt Easter eggs in the dark. All ages of kids. Bring a basket, a flashlight and a friend. 208-765-8800, www.cdaumc.org
- Eggstravaganza | Saturday, April 15. 10 a.m. Coeur d’Alene Church of the Nazarene, 400 N. Fourth St. Easter Egg hunt, raffles, games, prizes and more. Bring your basket. Tami 667-3543.
- Community Easter Egg Hunt | Easter Sunday, April 16. 10 a.m. Kootenai County Fairgrounds, 2056 N. Government Way, Coeur d’Alene. Hosted by The Cause Church. More than 50 prize eggs, thousands of candy-filled eggs. Prizes include Silverwood tickets, Nintendo 3DS systems, tablets, multiple Lego sets, bikes, tricycles, and other prizes for kids and toddlers. All ages up to 12. Egg hunt divided by age groups.
