Wiley named AP All-Americans

Gonzaga junior guard Nigel Williams-Goss was tabbed second team All-America by the Associated Press on Tuesday. He also received consensus second team All-American status.

Gonzaga senior center Przemek Karnowski was named honorable mention All-America.

They join John Stockton, Dan Dickau, Blake Stepp, Ronny Turiaf, Adam Morrison, Derek Raivio, Jeremy Pargo, Matt Bouldin, Kelly Olynyk, Kevin Pangos and Kyle Wiltjer as AP All-Americans.

Eastern Washington senior forward Jacob Wiley was also named AP honorable mention All-America, becoming just the fourth Eagle to earn that honor in 34 seasons as a member of NCAA Division I. He joins Alvin Snow, Rodney Stuckey and Tyler Harvey.

Wiley will head for Portsmouth, Va., for the 65th annual Portsmouth Invitational Tournament. The PIT features 64 of the nation’s top college seniors competing in a four-day, 12-game event in front of team representatives throughout the NBA. This year’s tournament will take place April 12-15 at Churchland High School.

Final Four ticket allotment

Gonzaga announced its allotment of NCAA Final Four tickets sold out as of Tuesday afternoon. Fans still wishing to attend the games are asked to visit the official NCAA ticket marketplace at www.ncaa.com/exchange.

WSU’s Hawkinson to play

in all-star game at Final Four

GLENDALE, Ariz. — Washington State senior forward Josh Hawkinson was selected to play in the Division I college all-star basketball game to be played Friday at University of Phoenix Stadium.

The contest, featuring two teams (21 total players) of seniors in NCAA Division I, will tip off at 3:35 p.m. PDT and will be televised on CBS Sports Network.

PULLMAN — Washington State men’s basketball assistant coaches Silvey Dominguez and Greg Graham are leaving the program to pursue other opportunities, WSU head coach Ernie Kent announced.
