The annual crowd-pleasing Student Art Show will open Friday, March 31 at the Pend Oreille Arts Council Gallery, 302 N. First Ave.
An artists’ reception will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and the public is invited to come view the varied talents of our region’s high school students.
“Paintings, drawings, etchings, ceramics, including ceramic masks that are really cool and collages are what I can see right now from my desk,” art administrator Hannah Combs said. “And, art continues to come through the door.”
Participating in this year’s show are students of Nellie Lutzwolf’s art class at Clark Fork High School and Josh Knaggs students from Bonners Ferry High School. Both Heather Guthrie and Ezra Stafford’s classes from Sandpoint High School are exhibiting, and so are the talented teens from Randy Wilhelm’s Lake Pend Oreille High School class. Students of Holly Walker, Forrest Bird Charter School are also showcasing their work.
