Diana Lynn Moore was born on Sept. 17, 1946, and passed away in her home on March 24, 2017, after a short battle with cancer.

Born in Yakima, Washington, then moving to Sandpoint in the 1960s. She graduated from Sandpoint High School in 1964. Diana worked at the Panida Theater and, from there, started her career in law enforcement, working at the Bonner County Sheriff’s Office and retiring after 42 years.

Diana is survived by her sister, Tana (Wayne) Woollenweber; a niece, Tina Morton; and two nephews, Derek (Justina) Mercer and Jason (Christina) Morton. She is preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Walson; stepfather, Darrell Walson; and her father, James Scott.

The family would like to thank Bonner General Home Health Care and hospice. Also, thank you to Dale Coffelt for his care in the final arrangements.

I love you sister and will miss you always. Give mom hugs for me. I love you both.

A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017, at the Eagles Lodge.

Family suggests that donations may be made to the Panhandle Animal Shelter and American Cancer Society.

Family and friends are invited to sign Diana’s online guest book at coffeltfuneral.com.

Arrangements are under the care of Coffelt Funeral Service.
