A Kalispell man admitted on April 27 to possessing multiple pornographic images and movies of children on a laptop and multiple external hard drives.

Originally charged with two counts of sexual abuse of children, Christian Boots, 27, pleaded guilty to one count in accordance with a plea agreement with the state.

According to court documents, Boots admitted during an interview with a Flathead County Sheriff’s deputy in September 2015 to having downloaded more than 230 images and more than 820 videos of children, ranging in age from 3 to 18 years old engaging in sexual acts.

When Judge Dan Wilson asked Boots in Flathead District Court why he was pleading guilty, Boots said, “I would like to man up to my mistake.”

Boots was released back into the community on his own recognizance pending sentencing, which is set for June 8.
