Suspicious death under investigation

BONNERS FERRY — On the morning of May 1, Boundary County Sheriff’s Office responded to an emergency call at a residence in Cedar Court Village on McCall Street.

Upon initial investigation, law enforcement officers discovered a deceased subject and further investigation is underway, as the death appears to be suspicious. An individual has been arrested and is considered a person of interest.

Law enforcement has not released whether or not the deceased was a resident at this location.

According to Public Information Officer, Michael Meier, “Names and additional information will be released upon notification of the next of kin of the deceased.”

BONNERS FERRY — The inaugural Bonners Ferry Rotary First Responders Picnic was held at the Boundary County Fairgrounds on May 20, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. About 125 people attended, with 50 of them being first responders and the rest being family or supporters.
