Montana Secretary of State Corey Stapleton will speak 4 p.m. Wednesday at a Libby Area Chamber of Commerce event that’s open to the public.

Stapleton is appearing as part of his “Things that Matter Tour,” in which he plans to visit all 56 of Montana’s counties “to hear from citizens across the state about ways his office can better provide business and election services,” according to a chamber statement. He announced the tour in early April.

The business roundtable discussion will take place in the Fjord Room of The Venture Inn at 1015 Ninth St. in Libby.

Stapleton, a fourth generation Montanan, was elected secretary of state in 2016.
