Prep roundup: Moses Lake sweeps Sunnyside

MOSES LAKE — It was a victorious senior day for both Moses Lake tennis teams.
Both squads picked up wins over Sunnyside in the regular season home finale.
In the boys' competition, the Chiefs dropped a single match en route to a 6-1 victory; the girls won 5-2.
Moses Lake wraps up league play at West Valley on Thursday. The Columbia Basin Big Nine Tennis Play-in Tournament is at Eastmont on May 6.

Royal 6, Kiona-Benton 0
BENTON CITY — Royal routed Kiona-Benton 6-0 and captured its first-ever league championship.
Antonio Barragan scored twice; Michael Rojas added one goal and one assist. Alex Contreras and Oscar Castro also scored.
The Knights scored twice within the first three minutes.
Royal will likely host Naches Valley Thursday, 6 p.m., in the first round of the district playoffs.
Boys golf
Ephrata defeats Othello, Toppenish
SOAP LAKE — Led by Sean Couture, Ephrata defeated Othello and Toppenish in a CWAC match at Lakeview Golf and Country Club.
Couture's 75 led the field and paced Ephrata to a total score of 335. Othello scored 382 and Toppenish totaled 478.
Patrick Azevedo was the low man for the Huskies with a score of 82.
