Plains JMG students take top honors

Jobs for Montana’s Graduates students at Plains High School recently returned from the state competition with a number of first-place awards.

Alyssa McCracken, Jenna Olfert and Shayna Burgess placed first in web page design.

Rachel Worral placed first in Individual Civic, and Tiga Ward placed first in Employment Preparation.

Burgess also earned second place for Electronic Presentation; Caitlin Walters placed second for Exploratory Career Notebook; Justice Weeks placed second for Individual Talent, and Ward took second in Telephone Techniques.

Walters earned the Chairman Recognition Award, while Ward and McCracken earned Student Choice Award for Poster/Slogan.

Plains High School was named Most Professional School at the state competition. Anawyn Griffin is teaches the JMG class at Plains.

The JMG class is focused on helping students stay in school, graduate and successfully transition into employment, post-secondary education or the military. There are more than 1,000 JMG students statewide.
